Announcing Tiddlyhost.com
posted by simon on Friday, February 19, 2021
I'm pleased to announce the launch of Tiddlyhost!
Tiddlyhost is the successor to Tiddlyspot. I've been working hard to create it and I'm really happy with the progress. It's pretty new, and still in development, but I feel like it's ready for some kind of launch.
Unlike Tiddlyspot, Tiddlyhost:
- Is secure. All requests are via https with a proper SSL certificate.
- Has a password recovery mechanism. If you forget your password you can request a password reset email.
- Supports TiddlyWiki5. TiddlyWiki5 is turning 10 years old this year. It's mature, powerful, and available on Tiddlyhost.
- Is fully open source. If you want to suggest ideas, contribute improvements, create your own Tiddlyhost, or just follow the development process, you can do it on Github.
- Let's you share and discover TiddlyWiki sites. The "Tiddlyhost Hub" is a place where you can discover interesting Tiddlyhost sites and also share your own.
If that sounds good, please sign up at tiddlyhost.com and give it a try.
If you have suggestions or experience any problems, please create an issue here. See also the code and the FAQ.
A few notes:
- As mentioned, Tiddlyhost is new and in development. I can't guarantee there won't be problems. It would be wise to download your site once in a while just in case something goes terribly wrong and your data gets lost.
- Please be nice. For example don't upload your entire photo collection, or generate a ton of spammy content.
-Simon

You're awesome! Thank you for continuing to support the TiddlySpot community with a new replacement to the service.
Wonderful! Thanks!
First: This looks great.
Looking through the faq: Currently no way to migrate our old tiddlyspot (classic) wikis to this one? The only option is to 'create new'?
Great! You are a Hero!
Looking forward to move my Classic wiki from TiddlySpot to here.
Best regards
André
